This public consultation aims to help us design the roadmap for core components and subsystem technologies for Beyond-5G and 6G networks. Please, read D2.1 Initial vision and requirement report before completing the form.* Deadline: 28th of February.

How to form a European industrial ecosystem ready to meet future connectivity challenges?

1. Which ecosystem capabilities for evolved 5G and 6G will bring the highest value to Europe? Which are needed?

For example, Chipsets, Cloud computing, Manufacturing, Software & applications or others

2. For those parts of the value chain not covered in Europe, how to ensure reliable and trusted supply?

-By "Reliable", we mean: there are no risk of disruption of the supply -By "Trusted", we mean: products sourced from non-European regions are devoid of malicious features (Trojan horses…)

3. What technologies can ensure systems' trustworthiness comprising components from untrustworthy sources (on multi-processor chip-level, onboard level, on network level)?

4. What role should be played by:

• Public authorities and policymakers • Large industries • SMEs • Research institutes and universities

5. How to make new technology accessible to SMEs?

• How to enable pre-commercial joint projects? • How to create a safe IPR environment for SMEs in Europe?

6. How will this ecosystem support AI and ML development in Europe?

E.g., Advanced SOC sub-systems: accelerators and processors

7. How to become less dependent on tools developed in the US and the Far East?

The role of EC and member states

1. How to best coordinate the various priorities and investments made by the EC and member states?

• Which forums and constellations are needed? • How is matchmaking best done to ensure representation across a value chain?

2. How can a European strategy for components and future connectivity systems be established?
